GIW ends year with Sundance Opener
December 1, 2006
Global ImageWorks was responsible for all the research and acquistion including the licensing of it own footage, for the highly anticipated documentary "Chicago 10" which is opened this years Sundance Film Festival. This is the second documentary ever selected to open Sundance in the Festival’s history. Over the course of the project, over 180 hours of film, 40 hours of video, 14,000 photographs, 200 hours of audio and a 23,000-page court transcript was brought in. Jessica Berman-Bogdan, President of Global ImageWorks says “This was an extremely challenging but exciting project. Entirely comprised of stock footage and some animation, the creative use of archive surely raises the bar for stock footage.” Having previously worked with Director Brett Morgen on his “The Kid Stays In the Picture” Berman-Bogdan was brought in on “Chicago 10” in the very first days of pre-production
